Objective: Create a collage that illustrates your own worldview. This project is based on the worksheet titled A Worldview's Structure. Instructions For the Worldview CollageRough DraftFirst, you will make a rough draft for the collage that illustrates your worldview. Take a piece of binder paper and turn it so that the long way goes from left to right. Draw lines with a pencil to divide the paper into three sections. You may draw the lines anywhere you wish as long as the three sections are about the same size. Use your pencil to label one of the sections Presuppositions. Label the next one Surface-Level Beliefs, and label the third one Ways I Influence the Material Culture. Using your pencil, write a few examples of your own presuppositions in the Presuppositions section of your rough draft. Remember that your presuppositions are your deepest beliefs, the ones you are least likely to change. In the Surface-Level Beliefs section, write down beliefs you have that are weaker that your presuppositions. In the section named Ways I Influence the Material Culture, write down some of the things you have done, said, or made that influenced the culture around you. You may change your rough draft until you are satisfied with the way it looks. Creating the Final CollageTake a large piece of construction paper or poster board and divide it up into three sections like you did for your rough draft. Label the sections Presuppositions, Surface-Level Beliefs, and Ways I Influence the Material Culture. Cut out pictures that represent your presuppositions and paste them into the Presuppositions area of your collage. Do the same thing for the Surface-Level Beliefs and Ways I Influence the Material Culture sections. |
